How We Turned a Forgotten Birthday into an Unforgettable Hibachi Celebration

With the big day already underway, he reached out in a panic: Could we possibly send a chef to his home in just 2 hours for a group of 8? He knew our usual minimum is 10 people, but he was more than happy to cover the cost for 10 if it meant making his son’s birthday unforgettable.

Our team didn’t hesitate. We said we’d do our very best—and then we got to work.

Our chef sprang into action, quickly gathering fresh ingredients, loading up the grill, tools, and everything needed for a full hibachi experience, and hit the road. By 6:27 PM, he pulled up to the customer’s home—right on the edge of that tight timeline. In just minutes, he set up the station, fired up the grill, and by 6:47 PM, the show was on!

What followed was pure hibachi magic:

• Water gun (sake for adult) and baby-boy (water for kids) shooting of mouth to kick off the excitement

• A special rice “cake” crafted right on the grill for the birthday boy

• A heartfelt birthday song sung by the chef (with everyone joining in!)

• An epic fire show to cap off the evening

The family and their guests were thrilled. The birthday boy couldn’t stop smiling, and everyone raved about the delicious hibachi dishes—perfectly cooked meats, veggies, fried rice, and all the classic favorites.

Later, the dad called us personally to share his gratitude:

“He was very appreciative for what we done for his son’s birthday. His son is very happy and this is the best birthday he ever had. All of them love our hibachi food very much—they will definitely use us again.”
